Oh cool. I actually didn't have the magazine. A friend who gets it and knows I play GW gave me the code.

Anyway, thanks!

I think they won't purge the characters made, you just have to wait until retail so you can trade the mini-pet in the shared bank to your other characters.
I accidently typed in both commands to unlock the pre-order weapons on the character I probably won't keep. "Nightfall Previewer" would be useless when it comes out.

The quest is dumbly simple (Walk outside and kill a lvl8, walk back inside, walk back outside and talk to something, walk back inside, done)

but the pet is leet.

Wabbajack - Anet and the amgazine both say that they are purge the character and you'll have to redo the quest upon release.

I have a problem.

I added the access key to my main Prophecies/factions account, and everything went smoothly, but I can't find my pet. Where do they show up? I am looking all over for it. and its nowhere.

you have to make a new Nightfall character and get to the city (or town) of Kamadan. when you get into Kamadan type /bonusitems which will give you a broken toy. then get the quest from Mahk in Kamadan called The Toy's Story. finish this quest and you'll get the giant. and if you're worried about losing him, don't worry, it says once the official game comes out that just follow these steps again and you'll have it
(PC gamer instructions to get Gray Giant)

I purchased a sealed PC Gamer, added the Gray Giant mission to my current account and still when I'm in Kamadan typing /bonusitems doesn't return a broken toy. I also checked edit account>manage access keys to make sure it was on there and it was. I've yet to get a answer from plaync knowledge base so I'm wondering does anyone know how to fix this or anyone having this same problem?

have you checked to see if you entered the exact code? you may have typed in a letter or number wrong. also, there can be bugs that anet will have to work out with Nightfall.

The mag is the US edition, November issue. A friend of mine bought a copy of it for me and emailed the code, and it worked. So it's not specific to the US server if you can get hold of it. There was some info somewhere about the UK / Europe getting a different mini pet, but I'm too lazy to look...

He's kinda bland I thought, but at least he doesn't shout the house down the way the Kuunavang does. I never take that damn thing out of my inventory..

Here's my little fella.. nice rear view shot there.

Thanks for clearing that up with me =)
Are all the codes unique? Or is it just the one code for everything?

If all pets are relatively scaled to their 'real-life' counterparts, that will be one hell of a giant.

Not all minipets are of monsters though (Rurik), is it possible for it to be a good giant? (highly unlikely but still i'd prefer it)

It's a unique code you add to your access keys that gives you just the giant (well, to be more precise a broken toy and a quest). I don't know if the magazine comes bagged or not, but if it doesn't someone could easily pinch the code if they wanted to, so I'd imagine they should be bagged.

I don't think people need to worry "too much" about it not being bagged. Even with the magazine in front of me; it took me 10 minutes to decipher the smeary chicken scratch code and enter it correctly. Chances are that even if someone tried to write it down in the store; they got it wrong. Then again; watch out for the dorks with camera phones....
